Mental Health Awareness
The knowledge and understanding of mental health as well as skills that help people reach out for support when they need it.
Discovering language and reducing stigma in our community around mental health has the potential to promote greater care and empathy for ourselves and for each other.

Knowing how to develop and maintain good mental health and understanding of common mental health disorders can provide opportunities to seek out help and to cultivate compassion.

There are wonderful resources focused on promoting mental health for different cultural and ethnic groups, acknowledging the diverse histories and lived experience that impact mental well-being. The Trevor Project offers several resources supporting the mental health of LGBTQ+ young people. Locally, the Columbia Gorge Pride Alliance has great opportunities to attend and support Pride events and outreach throughout the community!
